Ghost Town

About this project: 
This project was an ISTD competition entry, and the brief was to re-engage an audience in an area perceived as dead or dying. As I am from London, I wanted to choose a location close to home, however, London is not dead. The way I chose to interpret the brief was to show how gentrification kills the culture and life of places in and around the city. The area of focus was Brixton, due to its rich cultural history and the severe toll gentrification has taken on the area. The format was a publication, something that could become part of the archives, celebrating the residents that brought Brixton its cultural significance.
